6-week Wheel-Throwing All Levels Course

About this course

The course introduces clay preparation, studio safety and core hand-building methods including pinching, coiling, slab building, joining and scoring, and hump moulds. It then moves to wheel-throwing, covering centring, forming cylinders and bowls, and trimming. Participants work through new techniques as a group before practising independently at their own pace. Later sessions cover slip decoration and sgraffito, with an introduction to glazing included in the course.
