About this course

The course uses repeated exercises in listening, singing, clapping and notation to develop recognition of rhythm, melody and tonality. Learners work with relative solfa using moveable do, explore pentatonic and diatonic scales, and distinguish between major and minor sounds. Activities include identifying time signatures and rhythms, memorising short melodies and transcribing them by ear. Class discussions take place in English, with digital recordings, videos, applications and the Moodle learning environment available to support study inside and outside the classroom.

Is this course right for you?
