About this course
The course explores blues fingerpicking through demonstrations, listening assignments, talks, note-taking and practical workshops. Participants work on 12-bar arrangements, steady thumb-led bass patterns and blues licks, including phrases shaped by chord knowledge. The class also introduces improvisation while maintaining a rhythm. Learning includes group work and in-class performances, with an initial introduction and assessment used to establish the starting point.
