About this course
The course develops communication across a broader range of everyday situations, with work on discussing present and past events, expressing preferences, describing people, places and services, and making comparisons. It also introduces differences between colloquial and formal language alongside cultural and linguistic aspects of Portuguese-speaking countries. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, supported by pair and group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Activities also develop listening and reading, with talks on specific topics and recommended homework to consolidate the language covered.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for learners at Pre-intermediate (A2+) level who have completed a relevant lower-level Brazilian Portuguese course or studied Portuguese for at least two years. Participation is communication-focused, with pair work, group activities and role plays.
- Previous Portuguese study or equivalent experience is required.
- Learners take part in spoken interaction, including pair and group activities.
