About this course

The course explores comedy through physical comedy, sitcom and sketch scenarios, scripted material and improvisation. Participants work on comic characters, archetypes, behaviours and situations, while examining how body, voice, movement and gesture contribute to performance. Sessions address comic timing, rhythm, pauses and the Rule of Three, alongside ensemble work and individual performance. Participants rehearse and perform a short solo comedy piece for their classmates, applying the techniques developed during the course.
