About this course

The course explores creative approaches to aerial practice rather than focusing only on established tricks. Participants use stimuli from visual art, text, character, music and dance as starting points for experimentation and movement-making. Activities take place across several aerial apparatuses, including trapeze, hoop and silks or rope, with the aim of developing new movement ideas through play and exploration.

What you'll learn

  • Use visual, textual, character, musical and dance-based stimuli to generate aerial movement ideas
  • Experiment with movement on trapeze, hoop and silks or rope
  • Create movement that extends beyond familiar aerial tricks

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for aerialists who have been signed off for Level 2 or Level 3 Aerial courses. It involves experimenting with movement and creative stimuli across different apparatuses, so participants should have the stated aerial experience.

  • Requires sign-off for a Level 2 or Level 3 Aerial course

Before you go

  • Wear comfortable clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms with a T-shirt or vest.
  • Clean indoor trainers are requested.
