About this course
This studio-based life drawing class focuses on observing the human form and considering different ways to represent it on paper. It is structured as a life class, with participants developing their understanding through drawing. Studio materials include easels, drawing boards and a selection of drawing papers and media, while learners may also use additional materials for personal work.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for beginners, including learners with no previous drawing experience. Participation centres on drawing in a studio life-class setting, with the level label indicating an introductory course.
Before you go
- Easels, drawing boards, charcoal, newsprint and masking tape are provided in the studio.
- Cartridge and watercolour paper are provided.
- Learners may bring additional materials for personal use, such as pencils, Conté crayons, pastels, ink pens, coloured pencils, erasers, a sharpener or a sketchbook.
