Film Moments 1

About this course

The course explores how individual moments in films can shape spectatorship, memory and interpretation. It considers personal, historical and theoretical responses to cinema, alongside the relationship between film form, narrative, emotion and visual style. Teaching combines tutor presentation, collective screening of film clips, and discussion in small and larger groups. Participants examine examples from selected films and discuss their own significant film moments, using technical terms and theoretical perspectives from film studies to develop their analysis.

Participation includes collective clip viewing and discussion in both small and larger groups.
