Introduction to Printmaking (Monday Afternoon)

About this course

Participants develop images and ideas into printed work while exploring processes including drypoint, etching, aquatint, reduction linocut, monoprinting, collagraph and photo etching. Traditional and contemporary approaches are introduced across the programme, giving learners an overview of printmaking media and methods. Teaching combines technique demonstrations, one-to-one feedback and group tutorials in a specialist studio. The course allows participants to work at their own pace while building a portfolio of prints.

Is this course right for you?

The course is open to adults at beginner and intermediate levels, including people returning to printmaking or creative practice. The all-levels format is intended to accommodate learners developing from fundamental techniques as well as those refreshing existing skills. Teaching includes individual feedback alongside group tutorials.
