About this course

This introductory course gives participants a practical overview of several printmaking processes, including monoprinting, relief printing with linocut, hard-ground etching, screen printing and lithography. Demonstrations introduce each medium before participants apply its techniques themselves, providing an opportunity to compare how different types of print are made. The course also covers basic workshop practice, including the safe use of print presses, related equipment and materials. It is designed as a broad starting point for learners who may later wish to develop particular processes in greater depth.
