About this course
The course develops upper-intermediate Italian through exposure to contemporary spoken and written language. Participants work with current-affairs topics, literary texts and selected grammatical structures, using discussion and analysis to consolidate earlier study. Teaching centres on communication through pair, group and whole-class activities, including role play and language games. Presentations, handouts and audio-visual resources support the sessions, while homework is recommended for further consolidation.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for upper-intermediate Italian learners who have studied the language for around three to four years. The format involves regular spoken interaction, including pair, group and whole-class discussions, with homework highly recommended.
- Previous Italian study is expected at approximately A-level standard.
- The course does not lead to an examination.
