Music Production with Reaper

About this course

The course introduces Reaper on Mac and PC, including its setup, differences from other digital audio workstations and features used in music production. Practical workshops are combined with lectures, audiovisual presentations, listening-assignment discussions, note-taking and both group and individual projects. Participants work with audio and MIDI, programming sequences through third-party virtual instruments, editing material into song arrangements and mixing with freely available plugins. The course also covers transferring work to other DAWs.

Is this course right for you?

Listed as suitable for all levels, the course requires basic computer skills, including file management, and access to a computer outside class. Some experience using Apple computers may be useful, although support is available during lessons. Teaching includes lectures, discussions and both group and individual project work.
