About this course
The course uses tutor explanations, demonstrations and group tuition to examine piano techniques used in pop, rock and soul. Participants work with triads, chord symbols, harmony and different voicings, then apply these ideas to chord sequences, grooves and songs. Playing to and with other class members forms part of the sessions, including group performance. Regular feedback is provided as learners develop their keyboard skills, rhythm, coordination and ability to play by ear.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for improver-level pianists or keyboard players and requires some existing playing experience. The class involves group tuition, performing with others and playing to the group. Learners should also be prepared to practise between lessons.
