About this course
This course focuses on maintaining vocal technique while applying it to contemporary rock, pop and soul repertoire. Sessions include weekly singing exercises, group warm-ups and exploration of vocal qualities suited to different songs. Participants work on microphone technique, perform solo material in class and consider how to communicate with an audience. Teaching combines group and individual singing with constructive feedback from the tutor and other learners. Preparation of class material between sessions forms part of the course.
