About this course

The course introduces the complete audio path from microphone to loudspeaker, including mixing desk functions, inserts, sends and returns, effects, monitor mixes, balanced and unbalanced systems, and miking techniques. Learners set up and operate a PA system for a live gig, with practical workshops, group and individual projects, lectures, audiovisual presentations and discussions of listening assignments. The course also includes practical experience mixing live music.
