About this course
The course consolidates core Spanish structures while introducing more complex grammar and functions. Learners practise telephone conversations, passing on messages, recounting past experiences, and expressing interests, feelings, opinions, agreement and disagreement. Teaching combines spoken and listening activities with strategies for retaining vocabulary and communicating more independently. Grammar work includes past tenses, indirect speech, linking expressions for causes and consequences, the pluperfect and the present subjunctive. Cultural aspects of Spanish-speaking countries are also included, with homework recommended to reinforce class learning.
