About this course
The course develops foundational Spanish for everyday communication. Learners practise greetings, personal information, free-time activities, places, towns, weather, shopping, family and descriptions of people. Language work covers gender and number, articles, the present tense, basic uses of ser and estar, numbers, quantifiers, demonstratives and gustar. Teaching centres on spoken communication through pair work, group activities, role plays and games, supported by presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate classroom learning.
