Textile Screen Printing Evening

About this course

Participants explore screen printing on fabric and paper through pattern and figurative imagery. They develop designs using drawing, collage and mark making, then test ideas with paper stencils and basic digital editing for screen exposure. Teaching combines individual and group tuition with short practical tasks, supported by samples, images and handouts. The course includes making test prints, sampler pieces and small textile works while reviewing research and considering the environmental impact of textile practice.

Before you go

• Bring an apron, notebook and pencil case containing drawing pencils, a ruler, craft knife and scissors.
• Pre-loved plain cotton fabric is useful for testing.
• The studio is on the second floor, with lift access to the first floor and stairs and a stair lift to the second. Mobility support can be discussed with Additional Learning Support.
