About this course
The course examines how vineyard conditions and winemaking choices affect wine style and quality, using key international grape varieties alongside regionally important varieties. It also covers sparkling and fortified wine production, wine labels, storage, service, faults and food-and-wine matching. Classroom teaching is supported by tutored tastings of 40 wines and practice with the WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting. Learners also receive online study support and prepare for a multiple-choice examination.

The course is intended for learners developing beyond fundamental wine knowledge, although no prior wine knowledge is required.
