About this course
Participants develop an acrylic portrait from an initial sketch through to a finished image. The course covers facial proportions and guidelines, blocking in light and dark shapes, mixing skin tones, and using light and shadow to build form. Learners practise layering acrylic paint before refining features such as the eyes, nose and mouth, then add depth, highlights and final adjustments. Individual portrait work is combined with group feedback and review.
