About this course
This course consolidates and extends advanced Italian across listening, speaking, reading and writing, with particular emphasis on spoken and conversational language. Classwork is based on communication and interaction, including pair and group activities, role plays and language games. Presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources support the lessons, while reading and writing activities are completed as homework. Students work on more complex grammatical structures, including past tenses, conditional forms, reciprocal verbs and combined pronouns.

The course is intended for advanced Italian learners, labelled C1+, with at least three years of recent study or equivalent knowledge. It involves regular spoken interaction in pairs and groups, as well as study and activities outside class.
- Previous Italian study or equivalent knowledge is required
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are required
- Homework and independent study form part of the course
