About this course
Learners refine core ballet principles including posture, alignment, turnout and control through structured barre work. Exercises cover pliés, tendus, dégagés and rond de jambe, with attention to precision, stability and strength. Centre work introduces longer combinations that link steps and develop balance, coordination and control. The course also addresses how movements connect and flow, while learners practise sustaining positions such as passé and arabesque and performing sequences from memory.
What you'll learn
- Maintain improved posture and alignment through a sustained barre sequence.
- Execute pliés, tendus, dégagés and rond de jambe with greater control and accuracy.
- Perform a centre combination of six to eight steps from memory with coordinated sequencing.
- Sustain balance in positions such as passé and arabesque with control and stability.
Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for improvers who already have some basic ballet experience and want to consolidate their technical foundation. The level suggests work beyond fundamental exercises, including more structured barre sequences, linked centre combinations and sustained balance positions.
