About this course
The course develops foundational spoken French for situations such as introducing oneself, shopping and booking accommodation. Learners practise simple conversations, express opinions and discuss likes and dislikes while building vocabulary and understanding basic present-tense grammar. Teaching centres on spoken interaction, with pair and group work, role plays and games supported by presentations, handouts and audio-visual resources. Virtual travel activities provide contexts for using the language.
