About this course
This contemporary dance class introduces posture, alignment, breath and the use of weight through simple exercises. Sessions also use guided improvisation and short movement phrases, including a phrase of four to six actions, to develop sequencing and basic coordination. Learners explore movement through changes in levels, speed and pathways, alongside exercises involving bending, reaching and travelling. The class is paced to allow exploration without pressure and includes opportunities to develop mobility and ease of movement.
