Learners use prompts, observation, imagination and language to generate ideas and turn them into short pieces of writing. The course covers several forms, including stories, descriptive writing, poetry, micro fiction, dialogue and simple scripts. Activities focus on techniques such as sensory detail, character, imagery, figurative language and rhythm.
