About this course
The course introduces the main controls and digital functions of a DSLR camera, including aperture, ISO, exposure, focusing options and shutter speed. Participants explore how light, composition, lines and patterns affect photographs, with activities covering landscapes and portraits. They review images on camera, transfer them to a computer, resize and crop files, and prepare photographs for printing. Teaching combines step-by-step tutor guidance, real-world examples, individual tasks, verbal feedback and group discussion.
