ESOL reading qualification (entry 1)

About this course

Learners practise reading materials encountered in everyday situations, including messages, signs, forms, notices, tickets, labels and receipts. Activities focus on locating specific details such as names, dates, times, places and prices, following short written instructions, and selecting answers to simple questions. The course also introduces basic reading strategies, such as recognising familiar words and using pictures to support understanding. Content prepares learners for the Ascentis Entry 1 Reading qualification.
