About this course
The course develops spoken and aural French through gradual practice, including group-speaking guidance, listening activities and strategies for retaining vocabulary. Study topics include healthy eating habits, relationships between generations and humour, supported by extracts from works by Katherine Pancol, Anna Gavalda and Tahar Ben Jelloun. Language work covers relative pronouns, reported speech, comparatives, the anterior future and the passive. Learners also discuss events, generational relationships and different styles of humour in French.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for upper-intermediate French learners, including those who have completed French 3 Lower at a gentle pace or have a similar level of knowledge. Basic grammar terminology is essential, while familiarity with terms such as subjunctive, conditional and pronouns would be helpful. Teaching proceeds more slowly than on standard courses and includes group speaking practice.
