A beginner workshop covering autumn sowing, soil preparation, bulb planting and overwintering for gardens and containers.
About this course
This workshop examines what can be sown and planted in autumn to prepare for spring colour. Topics include preparing soil, planting bulbs in gardens and containers, and overwintering plants. Participants also learn about using bulbs in containers, including the option of creating a layered bulb display known as a bulb lasagne.

The course is intended for beginners and does not require prior experience. Participation involves practical gardening activities, with most of the class taking place outdoors.

Before you go
- The class takes place mostly outdoors, so participants should dress for the weather.
- Gloves and equipment are provided.
- To make a bulb lasagne to take home, participants should bring their own pot of approximately 30 cm in diameter with drainage holes.
