Italian – Beginners Stage 1 (Saturday Intensive)

About this course

The course develops foundational spoken Italian through introductions, personal information, family, work, nationalities, ages, numbers up to 100 and basic conversations about food. It also introduces Italian sentence structure and the use of regular verbs ending in -are, -ere and -ire, alongside some irregular verbs. Teaching combines pair and group exercises, structured dialogues, listening activities, audio and video material, and cultural discussion focused on Italian food, drinks and traditions. Progress is monitored through classroom observation, questions and answers, activities and homework.

Is this course right for you?

The course is intended for complete beginners, although learners are expected to have some familiarity with greetings, self-introductions, the alphabet, numbers and simple present-tense sentences. Participation includes pair and group exercises, structured dialogues and listening activities.
