About this course

Participants investigate Tower Hamlets through its streets, markets, buildings and everyday places, considering themes including migration, labour, faith, activism and community life. They use maps, archives, online sources and community knowledge to research local stories and shape themed walking routes. Teaching combines interactive classroom sessions with a guided outdoor walk. Activities focus on presenting stories clearly to small groups in public spaces and considering how walking tours can share local heritage inclusively.
