About this course
The workshop examines how jar bodies and lids can be designed to work together, combining functional considerations with varied shapes and surface proportions. Participants will work at individual potter’s wheels while developing more advanced approaches to throwing jar forms and creating interlocking mechanisms between the lid and vessel.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for intermediate throwers developing beyond fundamental pottery techniques. Learners are encouraged to be comfortable centring and pulling approximately 1 kg of clay, so it is aimed at participants with established wheel-throwing experience rather than complete beginners.

- Clay, glazes and firings are included.
- Participants can keep up to six finished pieces.
