About this course
Participants make up to two coffee mugs through hand-building rather than wheel work. The class introduces pinching and slab techniques, with learners shaping and assembling their own mug forms during the session. Completed pieces can be marked for a choice of studio glaze, which is applied after the clay has dried before firing.

Is this course right for you?
The course is labelled Beginner and states that no previous experience is required. It takes place in a class of up to eight people, with each participant working on their own mug projects using hand-building methods.

- Class size is limited to eight participants
Before you go
- Clay, glaze and all required tools are included.
- An apron or old T-shirt is recommended to protect clothing.
- Short nails and tied-back hair are recommended.
- Each participant can send up to two mugs for firing; additional pieces will not be fired.
- Pieces are glazed in a chosen studio glaze after drying.
- Finished pieces are expected to be ready for collection three to five weeks after the class. The provider does not email when they are ready, and asks that they are collected within three weeks of becoming available.
