About this course

Participants make a flower vase from clay using the coiling hand building technique. The workshop focuses on forming and assembling the vase by hand, with each participant creating one piece within the stated size and clay allowance. Once the vase has dried, it is glazed in one of six studio glazes selected by the participant and then fired by the studio. The class is limited to eight people.

What you'll learn

  • Use the coiling hand building technique to construct a vase.
  • Form a small or medium vase from clay.
  • Select a studio glaze for the finished piece.
