Maths Skills – Entry Level (E3/L1) – Number

About this course

The course develops core number skills through classroom teaching and structured activities covering whole numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. Online learning materials extend the work beyond the classroom. Progress is assessed through a folder of completed work and a Personal Learning Plan rather than an examination, with work set and marked to gather evidence of development. The course also introduces the content, level and expectations of subsequent maths qualification courses. Successful completion leads to a college certificate and the opportunity to apply for Functional Skills Maths or a Level 1 Maths course.
