About this course
Participants work through the process of making a simple sterling silver ring, beginning with measuring, sizing and shaping the band. The workshop introduces cutting and joining silver with a piercing saw, soldering with a blow torch, and forming the ring with a hammer and mandrel. Filing, polishing and finishing techniques complete the piece. Instruction is provided step by step in a studio setting, with guidance throughout the making process.

The workshop is designed for complete beginners and states that no previous experience is needed. Participation involves making a ring through a guided, hands-on process. It is suitable for learners aged 16 and over.
