About this course
Participants design a simple stained glass panel, preparing a cartoon and cut-line before selecting, measuring and cutting the glass. The course introduces traditional construction methods, including leading and soldering, followed by finishing and evaluation of the completed piece. Tutor demonstrations are combined with guided workshop practice, allowing participants to develop the panel through successive stages. Safe handling of glass, lead and soldering equipment is also covered, alongside terminology used to describe the process.
