UI design for websites using Figma

About this course

The course introduces interface design for websites through branding, messaging, typography, grids and layout. Participants explore how visual choices relate to a target audience, alongside responsive design for desktop and mobile screens, competitor research, interaction and animation principles. Teaching includes Figma training, wireframing and prototyping, culminating in a high-fidelity clickable website prototype. Work set outside class can be used to develop a stronger project and extend the final website designs.

Is this course right for you?

This course is intended for beginners with basic computer skills. Awareness of user experience, design and tools such as Adobe software or Figma may be useful but is not essential. Learners should be prepared to work on a website project both in class and outside class.

Before you go

• Participants need access to a laptop or computer that can run Chrome efficiently.
• Learners should have a rough idea of the type of website they want to design and what it does.
• The course may require use of a personal account or creation of an account for third-party software.
• Those attending the full course receive an electronic certificate of attendance.
