Wildlife Photography: Red & Fallow Deer in Bushy Park

About this course

Working outdoors in Bushy Park, participants will photograph red and fallow deer alongside landscapes, flora and other fauna. The workshop examines framing, panning, positioning, blur, focus, metering, depth of field, camera settings and working with natural light and changing weather. Teaching combines demonstrations, group discussion, tutor feedback and opportunities for individual guidance. Participants will also consider how conceptual ideas and storytelling can shape a single image or a wider photography project focused on nature, landscape or the environment.

Before you go

• Bring a camera with fully charged batteries; a spare set is recommended, as there will be nowhere to charge batteries.
• A tripod may be useful but is not essential.
• Bring a drink and snacks.
• Check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Waterproof clothing may be needed, along with a plastic bag to protect the camera from rain.
