Work experience: ESOL for early education and childcare part 1 (ESOL level 1)

About this course

This course combines English language development with an introduction to the early education and childcare sector. Participants learn vocabulary for settings, roles, safeguarding and age-appropriate activities, then use spoken and written English to describe responsibilities and workplace situations. The course addresses communication with children, parents and colleagues, including following routines and supporting children’s activities. It also considers the skills and qualities associated with early years work, giving participants an opportunity to reflect on their own strengths and areas for development before progressing to Part 2.
