About this course
This course examines wines from New Zealand and Australia through two regional sections. The New Zealand tasting focuses on Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris, alongside Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The Australian section considers Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Viognier, with attention to richness, ripeness, spice, aromatic character, alcohol and balance. Participants taste a minimum of six wines and use full tasting notes and a tasting sheet to investigate the distinctive qualities and wider appeal of wines from both countries.
