About this course

The course examines Italian wine through Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto, including Barolo, Amarone, Chianti and Pinot Grigio. It then broadens its focus to Spanish regions such as Rioja, Valencia, Ribera del Duero, Rías Baixas and Penedès, alongside Portuguese styles including port. Guided tasting is used to compare regional traditions and more modern approaches, with attention to food and wine matching and the origins of familiar wine styles. Participants receive tasting notes and a tasting sheet to support the comparisons.

Before you go

• The tasting includes a minimum of six locally sourced wines.
• Professional tasting glasses, a tasting sheet, tasting notes, cheese, charcuterie and crackers are provided.
