About this course
This tasting examines how place shapes wines from the Uco Valley, including vineyards located at high altitude near the Andes. It considers the effects of soils, cold conditions, strong sunlight and marked day-to-night temperature changes on freshness, concentration and purity. The selection comprises eight Zuccardi wines across sparkling, Chardonnay, Malbec and fortified Torrontés styles. The session also introduces the family’s development from irrigation experiments in Mendoza to its current work in Paraje Altamira, including the winery’s use of local stone, river materials and concrete vats.
