What Elementary (A2) Mandarin means

At A2 Mandarin, learners can handle simple routine exchanges and describe familiar aspects of everyday life.

  • Describe your routine

    我平时坐公共汽车上班,六点回家。

I normally go to work by bus and return home at six.

  • Make a simple plan

    你星期六下午想去看电影吗?

Would you like to go to the cinema on Saturday afternoon?

  • Talk about the recent past

    昨天我和朋友吃了晚饭,然后去散步了。

Yesterday I had dinner with friends and then we went for a walk.

These are general examples of language use at this level, not a description of any individual course syllabus.
