About this course

The course develops spoken Chinese through conversations about personality, home decoration, technology and language learning. Lessons include practice, review and presentations, with learners continuing to use Pinyin while being introduced to 50 Hanzi and memorisation techniques. Grammar work covers degree complements, duplicated adjectives and verbs, direction and location, number expressions, frequency and degree adverbs, and the tone adverb 就. Conversation practice includes introductions, describing homes, comparing abilities and discussing everyday convenience.

This course is intended for Elementary (A2) learners continuing their Chinese studies. The content assumes growing familiarity with natural conversations and survival-level travel communication, while continuing to use Pinyin and developing recognition of Hanzi.
