About this course
This course develops advanced Chinese through topics including current affairs, social issues, traditional culture, history, literature and contemporary society. Course content includes themes such as travel, communities, the environment, classic reading, human biology and world affairs. It is intended to help learners discuss complex subjects in detail, follow Chinese-language videos and news, and read authentic writing from sources including magazines, websites and newspapers.

Is this course right for you?
The course is intended for advanced Chinese learners who have completed Level 5 or can communicate independently at a similar level. The stated reference points include knowledge of around 2,500 or more vocabulary items and the ability to read approximately 1,500 to 2,000 Hanzi without Pinyin.
