About this course
The course develops German communication through topics including Berlin’s attractions and history, planning a weekend break, German regions and landscapes, national stereotypes, and food trends. Learners practise discussing these subjects and writing a portrait of their town. Teaching uses pair work, group work, role plays, games, presentations, hand-outs and audio-visual resources. Grammar work includes the genitive, accusative and dative prepositions, question words, adjective endings and adjectival nouns.

Is this course right for you?
This course is intended for Intermediate (B1) German learners with good speaking, reading and writing abilities, described as at least GCSE level. Participation involves regular spoken interaction, pair and group work, role plays and games. Basic grammar terminology is essential, and homework is highly recommended.
- Requires familiarity with terms such as verb, noun and conjugation
- Knowledge of terms including dative, accusative, subordinate clause and main clause would be helpful
- Includes collaborative activities as well as individual writing
