About this course
The class introduces and develops pottery techniques across hand-building, wheel-throwing, surface decoration and glazing. Each week focuses on a different technique, with time for individual practice and experimentation. Learners can work at their own pace within a focused studio setting, using the sessions to develop existing skills or explore new approaches to clay.

Is this course right for you?
The course is described as suitable for complete beginners and intermediate makers. However, this intake joins an existing course in its second week, so prior pottery experience in both wheel-throwing and hand-building is recommended.

Before you go
- All course materials are provided, including buff stoneware clay, tools, slips, moulds and studio glazes.
- Bring clothing that can get dirty.
- Learners are asked to try to attend the first two sessions; missed classes cannot be made up at another time.
