12-week Full Ceramics Course

About this course

The course focuses exclusively on throwing at the wheel, starting with wedging, studio safety and centring before developing control through cylinders and bowls. Participants practise managing wall thickness, trimming forms and adding foot rings, then explore handle-making, slips and sgraffito. Personal projects are included, with individual guidance on making decisions and refinement. Later sessions concentrate on final trimming, tidying foot rings and preparing work for bisque firing.
