About this course

The course begins with instruction in core ceramic techniques, including wheel-throwing, hand-building, mould work, decorating and glazing. These foundations are introduced during the early sessions, with teaching adapted to participants’ individual experience. The later part of the course gives learners scope to develop their own pottery projects, with guidance from the teacher and the wider group. Sessions take place in a studio designed for teaching pottery classes.
